At Trio South Bank, we exist to mark lives, support thriving businesses, and serve growing communities throughout the South. Launched in April 2025 as a division of Oconee State Bank, Trio South represents the next chapter in a remarkable story of purpose-driven, people-centered banking.
Our name, Trio, speaks to the three priorities we are committed to serve: lives, businesses, and communities. Backed by the strength, stability, and reputation of Oconee State Bank, Trio South brings a fresh energy and deep commitment to relationship-based banking in the Tri-Cities region of Tennessee. We currently operate a Loan Production Office in Johnson City, and this expansion marks our first footprint outside the state of Georgia — and the beginning of a bold vision for the future.

Our Foundation - The Legacy of Oconee State Bank.
Our story begins long before 2025.
In the wake of the Great Depression, every local bank in Oconee County failed. For more than 30 years, residents had to travel outside their community for basic financial services. In 1960, a group of visionary leaders changed that by founding Oconee State Bank — a community bank that would be locally owned, people-first, and deeply committed to service.
From a three-person team in a corner office in downtown Watkinsville, Georgia, Oconee State Bank grew to serve communities across the state with unmatched care, innovation, and purpose. Today, OSB proudly operates in six Georgia counties and continues to expand — including a new loan production office opening in Statesboro in 2025.
As a division of Oconee State Bank, Trio South Bank stands on this strong foundation. We carry forward the same legacy of excellence, trust, and heart — and we’re honored to bring it to Tennessee.
